Emergency Care & Burn Injuries Management Project Training Program

Target Group: Medical professionals who work in emergency medicine, burn care, or plastic surgery departments
This training is co-organized by the Taiwan Society of Emergency Medicine and Taiwan Society for Burn Injuries and Wound Healing
TRAINING OVERVIEW
Emergency care is an essential part of the health system and serves as the first point of contact for the acutely ill and injured around the world. Taiwan is one of the countries that successfully controlled domestic outbreaks and maintained a low mortality rate during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2025 TIHTC EBM training is instructed by top frontline medical professionals and experts from medical centers, regional hospitals, and burn injury related institutes. The curriculum covers all areas of emergency response and burn injuries treatment.

EXTENDED ONSITE OBSERVATION TRAINING (Optional)
After the 2-week EBM lecture series, participants have the opportunity for an additional 2 weeks of onsite observation training in emergency medicine or burn injuries management and rehabilitation.
Participants can structure their own study plan for these 2 weeks, and TIHTC will arrange the extended training according to individual needs.
Note: Applicants must meet the requirements of the 2025 TIHTC clinical training and apply before July 23rd, 2025.
HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT AND NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE PROJECT TRAINING (HCM)
Training Period: Nov 10th - Nov 21st, 2025

- Healthcare professionals who work in government health agencies

Co-organized by Institute of Hospital and Health Care Administration at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, the training covers core leadership and competitiveness in-depth and promotes modern development in the management of international healthcare affairs.
Taiwan is internationally acclaimed for having the most affordable and accessible National Health Insurance (NHI) system. This training introduces NHI development, policies, and financial strategies for sustaining the insurance system. Additionally, topics such as smart hospitals and AI applications in efficient hospital administration management will be discussed.

Customized Project Program
- Customized project training can encompass healthcare related topics such as disease prevention strategies, National Health Insurance, healthcare management, epidemiology of communicable diseases, emergency care, and health information technology.

NOTICE
- Applicants will be responsible for all associated fees, including airfare, accommodation, training, visa application, administrative costs, medical insurance, potential medical expenses, and personal living expenses.
- Applicants must comply with related epidemic prevention and control measures announced by the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control.
- The TIHTC and MOHW reserve the right to make changes to training, including the date, format, course content, and admission requirements.
Application Procedure
TIHTC encourages early applications and requires all documentation to be complete before submission. Applications must be submitted according to the deadline for each project training.
➊ Supporting documents preparation
- Resume or Curriculum Vitae
- A scanned copy of your passport
- The copy should display clear personal information including your name, date of birth, passport number, and expiration date. Your passport should have 6 months or more validity after the end of your training.
- Medical reports
- Medical reports should be completed no earlier than 3 months before the intended training start date. TIHTC will inform you when and what items are required, including:
- Chest X-ray for pulmonary tuberculosis
- Hepatitis B status
- Serological test for syphilis
- Certificate or proof of positive measles antibody or measles vaccination
- Certificate or proof of positive rubella antibody or rubella vaccination
- Other health reports according to current regulations
- An ID photo
- Two-inch ID color photo with white background, and at least 1062 x 826 pixels (taken within 6 months)
- One or more letters of recommendation
- The letter should be dedicated to the training you apply for. Include the signature of the referee within 6 months before the intended starting date of the training
- A scanned copy of a diploma or degree relevant to the field of medicine
- Valid English certificate
- Valid English proficiency certification OR a self-introductory video in English (3-5 minutes)
- Others
- Copies of any other licenses or certifications relevant to the training program applied
➋ Fill out the online application form and upload supporting documents
- In case of missing documents, the applicant is required to submit them within 2 weeks of receiving notice, otherwise the application will be considered invalid and may be rejected.
➌ Application review
- Application reviews are conducted jointly by TIHTC and the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Other supplementary documents may be requested if needed.
- Final decisions will be announced by DD/MM for EBM training and DD/MM for HCM training.
➍ Acceptance
- Upon receiving the final decision of your application from the MOHW, TIHTC will notify applicants via email.
