Emergency care is an essential part of the health system and serves as the first point of contact for the acutely ill and injured around the world. Taiwan is one of the countries that successfully controlled domestic outbreaks and has a low mortality rate during COVID-19 pandemic. The 2023 TIHTC EBM training course is instructed by top frontline medical professionals and experts from the Taiwan Society of Emergency Medicine, medical centers, and burn injury-related institutes with a curriculum covering all areas of emergency care and burn injuries management. LECTURE:
Additional Clinical Training
Sign up for 2 weeks of additional clinical training after the EBM project training! Project training trainees are eligible for additional clinical training on emergency medicine from triage, follow-up medical treatment, burn injuries management to wound and rehabilitation. You can choose a 2-week wound care clinical training or a 2-week emergency clinical training.
*Note: Applicants must meet the minimum requirements of the clinical training and apply to the EBM training before July 15 if you wish to join the additional clinical training.
Healthcare Management & National Health Insurance Project Training Program

Taiwan is internationally acclaimed as the country with the most affordable and accessible National Health Insurance. This training aims to build on the concepts and skills in healthcare management and the development of National Health Insurance policy. In addition, hospitals in Taiwan integrate AI and receive global recognition. This year, TIHTC added "smart hospital" concepts to the training. The training will cover the core leadership and competitiveness in-depth and further promote leadership and intellectual development in the management of international healthcare affairs.

Customized Project Program
Customized project training can encompass healthcare related topics such as disease prevention strategies, National Health Insurance, healthcare management, epidemiology of communicable diseases, emergency care, and health information technology. All trainings are instructed by top healthcare professionals in Taiwan.
TIHTC welcomes prospective institutions to apply for customized group trainings that will be fully tailored to meet your needs!
Project Training Application Process
See the list of supporting documents on page 20 for your reference.
Health reports are not required during this stage.
TIHTC will check if there are any missing documents. In case of missing documentation, the applicant is required to submit them within 2 weeks of receiving the notice.
Applications with incomplete documents will be considered invalid and can be declined for the TIHTC trainings.
TIHTC will match the applicants with the training hospitals according to the applicant's study plan.
Application reviews are conducted jointly by TIHTC, training hospitals, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Other supplementary documents may be required for further review.
Upon receiving the final results of your application from the MOHW, TIHTC will notify applicants via email and send the essential documents for the visa application.
International medical insurance that covers the whole training period is required.
Also note that the applicant’s health reports should be made no earlier than 3 months before the intended start date.
The copy should display clear personal information including your name, date of birth, passport number, and expiration date. Your passport should have 6 months or more validity after the end of your training.
Two-inch ID color photo with white background, and at least 1062 x 826 pixels (taken within 6 months).
The letter should be dedicated to the training you apply for, with the signature of the referee within 6 months before the intended starting date of the training.
Valid English proficiency certification or a self-introductory video in English (3-5 minutes)
Health reports should be made within 3 months before the intended starting date of the training. TIHTC will inform you when and what items are required, including:
Chest X-ray for pulmonary tuberculosis
Hepatitis B status
Serological test for syphilis
Certificate or proof of positive measles antibody or measles vaccination
Certificate or proof of positive rubella antibody or rubella vaccination
Others
