    HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT AND NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE PROJECT TRAINING (HCM)

    TRAINING OVERVIEW

    Taiwan’s healthcare system ranked 1st in the world for 8 years in a row (Numbeo, 2026)

    Co-organized by Institute of Hospital and Health Care Administration at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, the training covers core leadership and competitiveness in-depth and promotes modern development in the management of international healthcare affairs.

    Taiwan is internationally acclaimed for having the most affordable and accessible National Health Insurance (NHI) system. Participants will examine how Taiwan designs and operates its NHI system, manages healthcare resources, and balances cost control with quality of care. The program also introduces contemporary topics such as smart hospital development, data-driven management, and policy implementation.

    BURN INJURIES MANAGEMENT PROJECT TRAINING (BIM)

    Training Period: August 3 - 8, 2026

    Application Deadline: July 3, 2026

    Target Group: Medical professionals who work in burn care or plastic surgery departments

    This training is co-organized by Taiwan Society for Burn Injuries and Wound Healing

    TRAINING OVERVIEW

    Effective burn care requires multidisciplinary coordination, specialized clinical protocols, and long-term rehabilitation planning. This project training introduces comprehensive burn injuries management, from acute care to recovery and system-level organization.

    Drawing on Taiwan’s clinical experience, the program covers burn prevention strategies, acute burn treatment, wound care principles, infection control, and rehabilitation planning. Participants will also explore how burn care services are integrated within broader emergency and trauma systems.

    SMART HEALTHCARE & SUSTAINABLE HOSPITAL PROJECT TRAINING (SHS)

    Training Period: November 30 - December 5, 2026

    • Healthcare professionals who work in government health agencies

    TRAINING OVERVIEW

    As healthcare systems worldwide face demographic change, climate challenges, and digital transformation, smart and sustainable hospitals have become a global priority. This project training focuses on digital innovation and sustainability in healthcare, integrating technology, management, and ESG principles.

    Participants will learn how Taiwan promotes smart healthcare solutions—such as health information systems, digital workflows, and data integration—while advancing sustainable hospital operations, including energy efficiency, green procurement, and environmental management.

    Apart from the lectures, participants will have the chance to visit the 2026 Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan. From groundbreaking medical advancements to state-of-the-art technology products and digital healthcare solutions, the Expo offers a dazzling showcase of Biotech, Medtech, and Healthtech wonders in APAC.

    NOTICE

    • Applicants will be responsible for all associated fees, including airfare, accommodation, training, visa application, administrative costs, medical insurance, potential medical expenses, and personal living expenses.
    • Applicants must comply with related epidemic prevention and control measures announced by the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control.
    • The TIHTC and MOHW reserve the right to make changes to training, including the date, format, course content, and admission requirements.
  • Application Procedure

    TIHTC encourages applicants to apply as early as possible and make sure all documentation

    is in order before submission.

    ➊ Supporting documents preparation

    • CV, passport copy, medical reports (Chest X-ray, Hepatitis B, syphilis, measles, rubella, etc.), ID photo, recommendation letter, diploma, English certificate, etc.

    ➋ Fill out the online application form and upload supporting documents

    • In case of missing documents, the applicant is required to submit them within 2 weeks of receiving notice, otherwise the application will be considered invalid and may be rejected.

    ➌ Application review

    • Application reviews are conducted jointly by TIHTC and the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Other supplementary documents may be requested if needed.

    ➍ Acceptance

    • Upon receiving the final decision from the MOHW, TIHTC will notify applicants via email.

    ➎ Visa application

    • List for Visa-Exempt Entry, Landing Visa and eVisa:
